There's a fine line between a "quick household chore" and becoming a "cautionary tale." What started off as a weekend wallpaper removal job revealed ancient wallboard that needed to be replaced. This evolved into the removal of all our foyer's blue-board and plaster, and in turn will likely lead to some carpentry as well. Turns out we like having the foyer open to the stairs and the light it brings to the stairway. Here's what our foyer looks like with its bones exposed.
